Psychological Counseling Services

A service that involves talking to a counseling psychologist to help clients gain deeper understanding of themselves, the situations they are facing, and others around them. This process can lead to problem-solving, shifting thought patterns and behaviors, greater acceptance, or more effective decision-making in difficult circumstances.

This type of service does not involve diagnosis or medication. Counseling is offered in various formats: individual, couple, or family sessions. Details are as follows:

Counseling Services

Individual Counseling

  • Focuses on building an understanding of the factors influencing your current thoughts, behaviors, and emotions—such as surrounding circumstances, life events, or past experiences—so you can effectively address challenges.
  • The goal is to strengthen skills in acceptance and decision-making, helping you respond to situations with clarity and confidence.
  • Examples of common topics addressed in individual counseling are life transitions, personal relationships, and depression.

Couple / Family Counseling

  • Ideal for relationships between partners, family members, friends, or colleagues.
  • Focuses on building mutual understanding of personal needs and the needs within the relationship.
  • Emphasizes improving communication and strengthen how you relate and live together

  • The center has psychologists with expertise in various areas, particularly in "mental health for living well and working together effectively."
  • We offer knowledge through multiple formats, such as lectures (both online and in-person) and training sessions to develop various skills or exchange ideas.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Ideal for organizations looking to provide mental health support services for employees and/or their families.
  • Counseling is provided by faculty members or psychologists from the center.
  • Service formats include counseling as well as psychoeducation (the services can be tailored to meet the specific needs and scope of the organization).
Clinical Psychological Testing Services
  • We offer psychological assessments and provide evaluation reports.
  • Assessments are conducted by faculty members who are expert clinical psychologists.
  • Clinical assessment tools include MMPI, 16PF, Projective Tests, Bender & Bender II, IQ Test, Neuropsychological Tests, WRAI (IV), WRAT-Thai, MMSE, and Psychological & Neuropsychological Screening Tests.
  • If organizations wish to assess stress or other aspects of mental well-being, they can contact the center for more information.
Psychological Research Services
  • We conduct studies and research on topics related to mental health and quality of life at both the organizational and societal levels.
  • Research is carried out by the Center for Psychological Wellness in collaboration with faculty researchers and students from the Faculty of Psychology.
